Some things I really liked about this program were: Helping Me Focus on What I Can Control – The program reinforced that I can’t change my co-parent’s behavior, but I can control how I respond and how I create stability for my children. Practical Tools for Co-Parenting – I appreciated the parallel parenting strategies, communication guidelines, and conflict management tips that helped me navigate difficult situations. Encouraging a Child-Focused Mindset – This program reminded me that my children’s well-being should always be the priority, and that co-parenting decisions should be made with their best interests in mind, not personal conflicts. Structured Approach to a Parenting Plan – The worksheets and planning steps helped me organize my thoughts, identify challenges, and create a realistic parenting plan that I can use moving forward. Overall, this program gave me valuable insights and tools to handle co-parenting with less stress, ensuring that my children grow up feeling safe, supported, and loved.

1. Use Clear and Concise Language: Be direct about your needs and expectations. Avoid being vague, as this can lead to misunderstandings. For example, instead of saying “I need more help,” say “I need help with the bedtime routine on weekdays.” 2. Focus on the Child’s Best Interest: Frame conversations around what’s best for my child. If we can both agree that out child’s needs come first, it becomes easier to work together, even when discussing difficult topics. 3. Stay Calm and Respectful: Try to remain calm even if the conversation becomes tense. Avoid blame or accusations. Use “I” statements instead of “you” statements. 4. Be Open to Listening: Listening to my co-parent’s needs and concerns can help build mutual respect and understanding. It shows that I value their perspective, which can encourage them to do the same for you. 5. Set Regular Check-Ins: Consider having a routine check-in (e.g., once a week) where me and my co-parent discuss our child’s schedule, any challenges, and anything that needs attention. This helps avoid surprises and ensures everyone is on the same page. 6. Use Tools: Tools like a shared calendar or co-parenting apps can help keep track of schedules and important information. This can reduce misunderstandings about appointments, commitments, and event.
