I have never taken a course like this before. It covers everything from the emotional changes both people go through during a break-up to how it affects the children. I found this to be a very comprehensive approach. I used to think that feeling sad after a breakup was a bad thing, but this course described several psychological stages, which helped me understand that these emotions are completely normal.

This course introduced terms for things that I had already been doing, which might be important at a later point. So the other people, including the court may understand what I’m talking about. I also appreciate that the course understands the need to take care of ourselves as being a priority. I’ve seen a lot of people neglect themselves, not realizing the effect that has on the children.

I enjoyed the video scenarios. The course did a great job of introducing perspectives from the different parties involved in a divorce. The course also maintained it's primary focus throughout each unit, which was, "how do we think about the best interests of the kids" when discussing the multiple variables and changes in our relationships.
