The knowledge that was presented was very interesting and logical. It made me feel like I should have somehow known some of this information, but I think it showed me now that I have a choice to go and look for some answers when I feel like I don't know what to do. It showed me that I need to be more serious and pay more attention to my goals for my child and how I can be of assistance to give her the tools she needs. It showed me my child's future is in my hands.

This program was very well done and easy to understand. I appreciated the videos. I appreciate how it was very clear that some relationships are more hostile than others, so different approaches will need to be taken. I believe that my coparent will have to take this class as well, so I hope we will be on the same page going forward.

Honestly, when I first started the class, it felt boring, but after the second unit, I started to engage more and really appreciated the questions. The ideas shared in the class helped me understand the importance of communication in relationships and how crucial it is to handle children at every age stage. I’ve learned how effective communication can shape interactions and how it can make a big difference in understanding and supporting children through different phases of life. I’m looking forward to applying these ideas in real situations.

I feel the section on taking care of yourself was exceptionally good. I also agree with the concept of working things out between the two coparents, instead of automatically going for legal action.

I also learned interesting facts of how the court could or may look at my situation.

I liked the understanding given to both parents, especially in high conflict/different breakups/relationships, that a lot of my questions were answered/able to be answered when I thought they may not be, and that it seems encouraging of people getting better with time/acknowledging that people can be flawed and still be inherently good at the same time.

Despite the breakup, this program is based on the recognition that both parents play a fundamental role in the healthy development of their children. It reaffirms the importance of maintaining a focus on their emotional and psychological well-being, understanding that, although family dynamics have changed, the most important thing is to preserve their stability and happiness. It is a challenge to face this situation as an adult, and even more so for children. Especially when you have placed your trust in that other person as a paternal figure that you wanted for your daughters, and suddenly that figure makes the decision to no longer be there in the same way. However, in this process, the one who stays is forced to learn to adapt and build a new way of communicating, and we are forced to learn the way the world is and be part of the statistics. I am trying with all my being to learn to live not by the past or by personal feelings, but by the commitment to the well-being of the children. Now more than ever, I understand that my priority is to protect my daughters, making sure that this transition is as painless as possible for them. Even though the relationship has changed, the commitment to care for, guide and love our daughters remains essential. It is a constant learning process, but always with the aim of guaranteeing them an emotionally safe, stable and happy life.
