I liked how it kept me focused on the class by asking questions and having me type a response. Coming into the class I thought it was just going to be watching a video and answering some questions but it was much more then that. Having to come up with and answer really made me think about things I had not considered before.

The focus on the children’s perspective. This course reminded me to see things through my children’s eyes and prioritize their emotional well-being, not just the legal or scheduling parts of co-parenting. The self-reflection exercises. They helped me slow down and really think about how my words, actions, and choices affect my children. Writing out my thoughts made me more aware of what I’m doing well—and where I can grow.

I like how the questions seemed to hone in on your answers. I thought it would be a very generic course but it asked very specific questions! Questions relevant to my birth story, my child's past (before my co-parent entered situation) and even abuse and abuse on the child by a parent. I really enjoyed this class. Although it was a bit emotional for me, I got through it and believe each parent should have this basic understanding and education.
