The focus in the beginning was on managing your own feelings about the breakup and going through the phases before having conversations with the children because they are more likely to adapt to the changes based on their parents emotional and mental state.

Some things I really liked about this parenting class include the flexibility to complete it on my own schedule, the practical tips and tools it provided for co-parenting and how it helped me better understand my emotions and my children's needs during a break-up.

It provided me with information to help myself as well as information to help my child. It is easy to only think about my child in this situation, but this course reminded me it is important to think of and take care of myself as well and this course provided me with education to do so. It also helped explain more of the process of building a parenting plan and what I need to take into consideration when doing so.

Some things I really liked about this program were how it helped me understand the importance of putting my child’s needs first and provided practical examples of how to handle co-parenting challenges. I appreciated the focus on communication and the emotional support strategies for both parents and children.

The preview questions because it gave you some direction as to what the unit would cover. Some of the videos were helpful. I liked that it would separate some topics by age of the children.
