I liked that the program clearly defined what abuse is, including non-physical behaviors like controlling money, monitoring phones, and verbal threats. The power and control wheel was very helpful. I also appreciated the written reflection activities because they forced me to slow down and be honest with myself. The accountability partner check-in was useful for staying on track. The communication skills (I-messages, active listening, time-outs) gave me real tools I can actually use.

I liked how a lot of different angles of conflict were presented, it helped me realize that we aren't the only ones who need help with parenting issues. These classes helped me feel heard, as well as gave me tools to help with my big feelings, and I like that it showed me ways around the big feelings.
