12 Hour - Parenting Without Conflict

So many applicable pieces. I would love to know more about specifics to work on healing ourselves from having lived with that high-conflict parent for years. I would like to learn some more exercises (and practice them) to do, to help check myself and regulate my emotions, to prevent myself from being triggered from his behaviors, words, actions, etc. I would also like to do more practices of the BIFF. I only just started this class and completed it, but I can tell you it has already changed so much of how I act with my ex and what I am doing with the kids, etc. I wish more courts knew about this program. I wish that all courts required specific classes for parents rather than just letting them choose. Continued parenting classes and therapy are a must to help be better parents for our kids. Thank you!

I loved that you helped me create a parenting plan. So I may bring this plan into mediation tomorrow. Also learning about parallel parenting, ways to de-escalate conflict being they arise. Letting my daughter know that she has two homes! Both full of love and happiness for her.

I really liked the flow of the program. Starting from taking care of yourself-taking care of your child-how to manage being a single parent- how to work with your co-parent and how to move forward. Also, learning about all the things to consider while making a parenting plan.

This program was very well done and easy to understand. I appreciated the videos. I appreciate how it was very clear that some relationships are more hostile than others, so different approaches will need to be taken. I believe that my coparent will have to take this class as well, so I hope we will be on the same page going forward.

I like how informational the program is. It really provides you with multiple aspects of co-parenting. How to better handle multiple things that come up when co- parenting. It helps you create a guideline that will benefit your child. Let’s you see a clearer path. It also provides you with great resources. I am satisfied with this course and I appreciate whoever created it.

I really appreciated they focused on different scenerios and challenges that may arise after the break-up. The information on how to deal with an abusive or difficult ex-partner was very helpful.

I think this program should be watched when you are getting married and becoming a parent, because the ones who really get the worst of it when it comes to divorce are always the children. The program is very well done and talks about the different processes that those of us who face divorce, separation and raising children go through.

Honestly, when I first started the class, it felt boring, but after the second unit, I started to engage more and really appreciated the questions. The ideas shared in the class helped me understand the importance of communication in relationships and how crucial it is to handle children at every age stage. I’ve learned how effective communication can shape interactions and how it can make a big difference in understanding and supporting children through different phases of life. I’m looking forward to applying these ideas in real situations.

I liked the journal questions because I had to really think about certain things and I had never been asked those questions before. I also liked that there were other family examples involved and it showed how each one got through it. All this information has been very helpful.

I liked that this program was not negative about the situation, it taught me as a parent that I do not need to feel bad for the decision that I made to leave. I was surprised to learn that not all children want their parents to get back together.

I’ve learned that a lot of times my emotions may have got in the way of how I felt about things but I have moved on and let go, forgave and started to make better decisions for my daughter, and put my feelings to the side.
