I enjoy learning about the different ways we can coparent and communicate with each other more efficiently. I appreciated the units about grieving and being able to understand more thoroughly what stage I was in and working on not getting "stuck" there. I have found that a lot of the information included in this program has been really useful and meaningful in being able to work with my coparent and understand our daughter's position more.

Some of the things I liked about this program: The documents that were able to be downloaded to be looked at later. The over-explanation of each topic. The inclusion of things that I didn't think about or consider during this time.

Insight into the Psychology of Divorce: This program taught me a lot about the psychological impact of divorce on both parents and children. Understanding the emotions, challenges, and stages of adjustment has helped me better navigate this difficult process and support my children through it. Guidance on Parenting Plans: The program provided clear and practical guidance on how to create a parenting plan that prioritizes my children’s needs. It helped me think through important details like living arrangements, time-sharing, and decision-making, which will make the process smoother and more organized. Tips on Talking to Children: I appreciated the advice on how to communicate with my children about the divorce in an age-appropriate and supportive way. Learning what to focus on (e.g., reassurance, love, and stability) and what to avoid (e.g., blaming, arguing, or oversharing) has been incredibly helpful in maintaining a positive and open relationship with them. Focus on What’s Important: The program emphasized the importance of focusing on my children’s best interests and avoiding unnecessary conflicts. This has given me a clearer sense of direction and helped me stay grounded during a challenging time. Practical Tools for a Smooth Process: Overall, the program provided practical tools and strategies that will help my case move more smoothly. From understanding legal processes to managing emotions and communication, I feel more prepared to handle the challenges ahead. This program has been a valuable resource, and I’m grateful for the knowledge and support it has provided as I work to create a stable and loving environment for my children.

Some things that I really liked about this program is how it had educational videos followed by interactive questions. I also liked how they had scenarios to better understand the topics being discussed. Taught me to pay closer attention to everything going on with how my kids are reacting to the change. Be more reasonable with talking to my co parent and trying to understand exactly how they feel and let one person speak at a time and not speak over each other. Theres quite a bit I took in from this course.

The most excited thing I liked about this class was how specific the class was. From stuff to do with their kids while they are adjusting, all the way to understanding their feelings more, and what you can do to also cope with the changes that are happening around you and the kids. Over all this information was helpful and a great experience. Thank you for the help you provided for me as a father. God bless.

It was self-paced. I have a hard time sitting still for a long period of time, especially when I'm not being active (hands-on approach). This was good for me to be able to move around and still take brain breaks when needed, so I could focus on this class.

Some things I really liked about this program include how it provided practical and actionable advice for navigating co-parenting and handling the challenges of separation. The emphasis on putting the children’s needs first and creating a stable, supportive environment was particularly valuable. I also appreciated the program’s focus on improving communication and offering tools and strategies to handle conflicts constructively. The inclusion of real-life scenarios and reflective questions helped make the concepts relatable and easier to apply in everyday life.

I liked how they put out different scenarios that dealt with certain tools or certain things. It allowed me to see reactions and possible outcomes and taught me how I could deal with it. I also like when I got an answer right, it explained the answer and helped me understand more.

12 Hour - Parenting Without Conflict

So many applicable pieces. I would love to know more about specifics to work on healing ourselves from having lived with that high-conflict parent for years. I would like to learn some more exercises (and practice them) to do, to help check myself and regulate my emotions, to prevent myself from being triggered from his behaviors, words, actions, etc. I would also like to do more practices of the BIFF. I only just started this class and completed it, but I can tell you it has already changed so much of how I act with my ex and what I am doing with the kids, etc. I wish more courts knew about this program. I wish that all courts required specific classes for parents rather than just letting them choose. Continued parenting classes and therapy are a must to help be better parents for our kids. Thank you!

I loved that you helped me create a parenting plan. So I may bring this plan into mediation tomorrow. Also learning about parallel parenting, ways to de-escalate conflict being they arise. Letting my daughter know that she has two homes! Both full of love and happiness for her.

I really liked the flow of the program. Starting from taking care of yourself-taking care of your child-how to manage being a single parent- how to work with your co-parent and how to move forward. Also, learning about all the things to consider while making a parenting plan.

This program was very well done and easy to understand. I appreciated the videos. I appreciate how it was very clear that some relationships are more hostile than others, so different approaches will need to be taken. I believe that my coparent will have to take this class as well, so I hope we will be on the same page going forward.

I think this program should be watched when you are getting married and becoming a parent, because the ones who really get the worst of it when it comes to divorce are always the children. The program is very well done and talks about the different processes that those of us who face divorce, separation and raising children go through.

Honestly, when I first started the class, it felt boring, but after the second unit, I started to engage more and really appreciated the questions. The ideas shared in the class helped me understand the importance of communication in relationships and how crucial it is to handle children at every age stage. I’ve learned how effective communication can shape interactions and how it can make a big difference in understanding and supporting children through different phases of life. I’m looking forward to applying these ideas in real situations.

Learning things I never knew, like the different stages that couples go through and how to handle talking with the children, making it as easy on them as possible. Also that this is a game in which no one wins, and you must do what is in the best interest of the child.

1. Use Clear and Concise Language: Be direct about your needs and expectations. Avoid being vague, as this can lead to misunderstandings. For example, instead of saying “I need more help,” say “I need help with the bedtime routine on weekdays.” 2. Focus on the Child’s Best Interest: Frame conversations around what’s best for my child. If we can both agree that out child’s needs come first, it becomes easier to work together, even when discussing difficult topics. 3. Stay Calm and Respectful: Try to remain calm even if the conversation becomes tense. Avoid blame or accusations. Use “I” statements instead of “you” statements. 4. Be Open to Listening: Listening to my co-parent’s needs and concerns can help build mutual respect and understanding. It shows that I value their perspective, which can encourage them to do the same for you. 5. Set Regular Check-Ins: Consider having a routine check-in (e.g., once a week) where me and my co-parent discuss our child’s schedule, any challenges, and anything that needs attention. This helps avoid surprises and ensures everyone is on the same page. 6. Use Tools: Tools like a shared calendar or co-parenting apps can help keep track of schedules and important information. This can reduce misunderstandings about appointments, commitments, and event.
