I enjoyed that you really focused on the children. Not that we are not important as the parents, but that we are growing the next generation of adults and it is important and well thought of. It is their future that will make a difference in the world and really it is them teaching us, not us teaching them. They are innocent and perfect in God's plan. We should make way for them to grow, not cover them in poo.

It helps me understand how to co-parent the best way and the law when it comes to divorce and custody. By familiarizing myself with the legalities surrounding custody agreements, I can ensure that my co-parenting arrangement is in compliance with the law. Understanding the legal framework also allows me to protect my rights as a parent and advocate for my child's best interests. First, it provides a lot of helpful advice on handling family relationships, dealing with conflicts and managing emotions, which is important for making sure children are well cared for. Second, the program gives practical tips that you can actually use to improve how you communicate and work with your co-parent. These tips are not just theoretical but really help in making things better for everyone involved in the family. Additionally, the program encourages thinking deeply about your role as a parent and how your actions affect your children during times of change. It helps you grow and understand more about managing family situations well. Furthermore, the program stresses the importance of seeking help from your community or professionals when needed. It recognizes that co-parenting can be tough and that getting support can make a big difference in how things go. Lastly, the program is flexible and understanding, knowing that each family is different and may need different solutions. It gives you tools that can be adjusted to fit your specific situation, which is really helpful in dealing with the challenges of co-parenting. Overall, this program has been a great resource for learning and improving how to co-parent effectively, offering practical advice and support tailored to different family needs. It allows for people of varying personalities and varying marital experiences to learn valuable tools to become better people, parents and partners. It honors and respects those who have survived abusive marriages and equips them to better manage their encounters with their co-parent in the future. It provides insight into different methods of handling separation and divorce. The focus of the teaching is to create safer, more stable and more loving homes for children experiencing separation and divorce. The teaching on conflict is applicable to situations above and beyond separation and divorce.

12 Hour - High-Conflict Co-Parenting - Co-Parenting Without Conflict

June 11, 2024

Cherrie Y.

I liked that this program connected past experiences to present actions. Being aware of one’s past experiences can allow you to be more sensitive and understanding of one’s behaviours and reactions. I also liked learning about how children in different stages will react to the separation and what to look out for. I learned about the importance of communication with the children in appropriate levels in order to avoid the “cycle of silence”. I learned some new tools to communicate with my co-parent, I also learned that it’s ok if we don’t agree and I can walk away when the situation gets out of control. Overall this program provided a wide range of topics that one would encounter in a situation of loss and break up, rebuilding on a new life and relationships and how to move forward for all parties involved.
