It teaches you lots of ways to deescalate conflict with your coparent. I like that it teaches you ways to control yourself even if your coparent cannot. It teaches a lot about how to set boundaries and I think suggesting parallel parenting is a good idea.

12 Hour - High-Conflict / Anger Management — High-Conflict Behavioral Skills

May 3, 2025

Damon T.

Practical tools I can actually use – I appreciated that the program didn’t just talk about conflict and emotions in theory—it gave me concrete strategies like “I-messages,” option-based suggestions, and emotional pause techniques that I can apply in real life, especially in co-parenting situations. Focus on personal responsibility – The program helped me shift my mindset from blaming others to asking what I can control, which has been empowering. It reminded me that my reactions are my choice. Encouragement without judgment – I felt supported, not shamed. Even when reflecting on mistakes, the program emphasized growth and self-compassion, not guilt. Forgiveness and emotional release – Learning that forgiveness is a gift I give myself—not an excuse for others—helped me release a lot of weight I didn’t realize I was carrying. Opportunities for reflection – The journal prompts really helped me dig deeper and recognize patterns I hadn’t seen before. Writing about my triggers, reactions, and growth gave me clarity.
