Everything. What I liked most was learning how to avoid conflict more and how to not argue and to always put our child at the base of every discussion.

One of the most impactful strategies I’ve learned in this course is the importance of engaging in intentional, child-focused communication with my co-parent. The program outlined clear methods for structuring productive conversations-emphasizing empathy, emotional regulation, and shared goals. By approaching discussions with a calm and collaborative mindset, I’ve found that it’s possible to move beyond conflict and work toward outcomes that genuinely support our child’s well-being. The course also provided practical frameworks for decision-making, helping us navigate complex issues with clarity and purpose. These strategies include using “I” statements, setting boundaries, and focusing on solutions rather than blame. This shift in approach has made it easier to reach agreements that reflect our child’s developmental needs and emotional safety. Equally important was the insight into how parental behavior - especially in moments of stress or disagreement - can deeply affect a child’s emotional development. Witnessing frequent outbursts or unresolved tension between parents can lead to long-term anxiety, insecurity and difficulty forming healthy relationships. This understanding has reinforced my commitment to modeling respectful, emotionally grounded interactions, even during challenging moments. Overall, the course has equipped me with tools not only to manage conflict, but to transform our co-parenting dynamic into one that prioritizes stability, consistency and the emotional health of our child.

The videos of the kids telling their side of the divorce. It helped to shed light on how kids really feel. Some kids don’t express their feelings enough and will hide a lot of what is going on.

There are some things I liked about this course: focus on children's well-being - the consistent emphasis on prioritizing the children's needs; practical skills and strategies: - the concrete tools and techniques; emphasis on self-reflection - that was good because if I can focus on me, then everything would take shape; positive and hopeful tone. I am hoping to use everything that I have learned in the past to make a big change. If you have hope then there is reason for everything. Without it, it is hard to get success.

I really appreciated how the program broke down co-parenting into clear, manageable steps while also addressing the emotional side of parenting after conflict. The real life examples helped me see how these strategies could be applied in my own situation. I also liked that it included tools for both personal healing and child focused planning, rather than only focusing on legal or logistical parts. The sections on emotional regulation, setting boundaries and building a reliable support system stood out to me the most, because they gave me practical strategies I can use immediately. I also appreciated having a choice at the end of the program and loved that Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) was one of the options, because it made the content feel relevant and validating for survivors like me. It showed me that the program was designed with the realities of DV and high conflict co-parenting in mind, which made the lessons feel both practical and empowering.
