I really appreciated how the course opened with a clear, research-based framework that laid out the four distinct parenting styles—authoritative, authoritarian, permissive, and uninvolved—and helped me understand how each one shapes a child’s behavior and self-esteem. I was especially struck by the emphasis on building a secure, loving attachment first, since warmth and trust create the fertile ground for any effective discipline that follows. The practical, age-appropriate strategies—ranging from specific praise and logical consequences to structured family meetings—felt immediately usable, and the focus on nurturing resilience through positive self-talk and reframing setbacks showed a commitment to fostering true confidence rather than mere compliance. Finally, the interactive true/false and multiple-choice checkpoints kept me engaged throughout, reinforcing the key concepts as I went.

It has helped me understand that I am not perfect I have a lot to learn about being a parent and how to better myself. This program has opened my eyes to be more open to healing myself as a person so I can be a great parent to my children. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to take this course.

Some things I really liked about this program: It helped me reflect on my role as a co-parent and how I can improve communication. I appreciated the focus on putting children's needs first during difficult times. The real-life scenarios and guided questions made it easier to think through my own situation.

The way it broke down the different elements involved in a high conflict co-parenting relationship, defined them, and provided examples of other co-parenting situations. I also liked the various strategies for dealing with potential triggers. I also liked how it focused on things from the perspective of the children.

I really enjoyed this program because it showed where I came from and getting help with my therapist has been successful. Being able to take the suggestions and applying them to my co-parenting journey has benefited my responses, lack of reactions, and has removed conflict on my end. This class has been very eye opening and has encouraged me to continue to have an open mind and flexible thinking with my co-parent.
