The focus in the beginning was on managing your own feelings about the breakup and going through the phases before having conversations with the children because they are more likely to adapt to the changes based on their parents emotional and mental state.

I appreciate the insight that it gave on some of my childhood trauma and stuff that I've went through in my past and the advice that it gave to not carry it over into my children. I appreciate some of the tools that it provided as well to be able to try and work together with my co-parent.

Some things I really liked about this parenting class include the flexibility to complete it on my own schedule, the practical tips and tools it provided for co-parenting and how it helped me better understand my emotions and my children's needs during a break-up.

It provided me with information to help myself as well as information to help my child. It is easy to only think about my child in this situation, but this course reminded me it is important to think of and take care of myself as well and this course provided me with education to do so. It also helped explain more of the process of building a parenting plan and what I need to take into consideration when doing so.

Some things I really liked about this program were: * It helped me slow down and really think about how my actions and communication affect my kids. * I appreciated how the questions made me reflect—not just on the challenges—but also on the things I’m doing well as a parent. * It gave me useful tools and ideas for co-parenting in a way that keeps the focus on the children’s well-being. * I liked that the program encouraged respectful communication and gave realistic strategies I can actually apply. It reminded me that even though this situation is hard, I still have the power to create a positive, stable environment for my kids.
