8 Hour - High-Conflict Co-Parenting - Co-Parenting Without Conflict
March 20, 2025
I really benefited from the unit that discussed domestic violence in the relationship and how to overcome those feelings or triggers in the midst of learning to co-parent. I think that was my biggest hurtle and caused me the most anger, but I feel validated and seen. I did not think anyone would believe me because my spouse would say he could make me look crazy and nobody would, but the things described were situations I have been through. It must me a common occurrence in DV relationships to be included in here and that felt validating to me. The lack of accountability from my spouse has allowed resentment to fester inside of me which comes out in the way I communicate to him. All I wanted was him to say, "yes I did abuse you" and validated my abuse. Reading similar stories through this program gave me the validation I needed to start healing. I just wanted to feel seen and heard and I did. This has released a lot of tension and emotions for me and I am just ready to move on, be the best mother I can be and co parent cordially for the sake of our son.
