Some things I really liked about this program were learning strategies to communicate better with my co-parent, thinking about my children’s needs in a clear way and having tools to reduce conflict and keep my children out of the middle. It was very eye-opening to the alternate forms of mediation or custody settlement that don’t include going to court. I was never made aware of those options by any friends, family, or former/current attorneys. If I had been, I would have taken advantage of those options and handled my custody issues very differently.

I liked thoroughness and depth of information. I appreciated the videos and the journaling questions afterward. The questions before each unit provided a framework for important points to watch for - they set expectations for the information following. Ending the unit with the same questions made me feel more confident in my answers.

Some of the things I liked about this program were the focus on putting the children’s needs first and the reassurance about the importance of keeping conflict away from children. I strongly agree with that and have always believed in protecting my daughters from any conflict. I also appreciated learning tools for staying calm and focused as a parent and I’m committed to using what I’ve learned to continue creating a safe, loving and stable environment for my children.
