The core idea that emotions are like shifting weather - temporary, uncontrollable, and better acknowledged than resisted - really stood out to me. I got a different perspective and liked the way things were broken down to take us out of our personal situations to explain things, then put back into perspective when connecting back to our personal situations, I loved the info on how to help kids feel comfortable and understand things better, and kept so many resources to go back and look at for more info to continue to apply that to my children's life as they grow-up.

The course didn't pretend that this is easy. It acknowledged the 30% increase in living costs and the emotional 'lag' between the person who leaves and the person who stays, which feels realistic.

Some things I really liked about this module were how it broke down boundaries in a way that actually feels doable in real life. It helped me understand the difference between being controlling and setting a healthy boundary. I also liked learning how to communicate limits in a calm and respectful way, especially in stressful situations like co-parenting.
