Cristal Q.

Some things I really liked about this program were how it gave me practical tools I can actually use day to day, like keeping communication focused on one topic at a time and not putting the kids in the middle. I also liked that it made me stop and reflect on my own parenting, not just my co-parent’s actions. The examples and worksheets were helpful because they showed me what healthy co-parenting should look like in real life, and it made me feel less alone knowing other people are working through the same struggles.

Michael R.

It helped me see what I can better do to communicate with my co-parent when that time arrives and what I can do to parent my children correctly. What can I say, I've been very lax on the rules. I see now that I need to instil that structure I was known for and I DEFINITELY need to talk to my kids more about how they're feeling.

Discipline was encouraged. Boundary setting and expectations are discussed in a positive light. It can be tempting to stop having expectations for kids in the thick of it. This made me feel better about trying to point kids in the trying direction.

Caitlin J.

It was very thought provoking. It taught me that just because my kids aren't bringing up the divorce, their feelings or thoughts about it, doesn't mean they aren't being effected by the divorce and I should talk to them about how they are feeling and what they are thinking. It's not a one time conversation.

I think it is good for people at the start or beginning of a break-up. I have been "broke-up" for many years so it doesn't really apply. I would like to use some of the class items but there needs to be two people willing to do so.

I like how it broke down the different stages of the entire process. From separation to working on co-parenting plans, to then accepting those co-parenting plans.
