I got a different perspective and liked the way things were broken down to take us out of our personal situations to explain things, then put back into perspective when connecting back to our personal situations, I loved the info on how to help kids feel comfortable and understand things better, and kept so many resources to go back and look at for more info to continue to apply that to my children's life as they grow-up.

The course didn't pretend that this is easy. It acknowledged the 30% increase in living costs and the emotional 'lag' between the person who leaves and the person who stays, which feels realistic.

I appreciated about this course the "Business-Like" shift - reframing co-parenting as a professional partnership rather than a personal one makes the conflict much easier to manage. I also liked the emphasis on specificity: learning that vague plans lead to arguments, and that detailed schedules actually provide freedom and peace for the kids; and the transition focus - realizing how much the "mental gear-shifting" affects the children and getting practical ideas to make those hand-offs smoother. I liked that the course is validating the idea that parents, not courts, are the best experts on their own children’s lives.
