1. Use Clear and Concise Language: Be direct about your needs and expectations. Avoid being vague, as this can lead to misunderstandings. For example, instead of saying “I need more help,” say “I need help with the bedtime routine on weekdays.” 2. Focus on the Child’s Best Interest: Frame conversations around what’s best for my child. If we can both agree that out child’s needs come first, it becomes easier to work together, even when discussing difficult topics. 3. Stay Calm and Respectful: Try to remain calm even if the conversation becomes tense. Avoid blame or accusations. Use “I” statements instead of “you” statements. 4. Be Open to Listening: Listening to my co-parent’s needs and concerns can help build mutual respect and understanding. It shows that I value their perspective, which can encourage them to do the same for you. 5. Set Regular Check-Ins: Consider having a routine check-in (e.g., once a week) where me and my co-parent discuss our child’s schedule, any challenges, and anything that needs attention. This helps avoid surprises and ensures everyone is on the same page. 6. Use Tools: Tools like a shared calendar or co-parenting apps can help keep track of schedules and important information. This can reduce misunderstandings about appointments, commitments, and event.

I really liked the way the program is structured and how it displays the various emotions, change, and sense of guilt children go through when parents breakup. I like how it also talks about the parents own emotions and how to better cope with the processes of breakup. The resources provided for assistance for both the children and parents are very valuable. I also love how it teaches co-parents to learn to communicate with each other as this is very important during or after relationships. Finally, I like how videos and quizzes helps you with real time visualization and depicts very meaningful real life examples or what people have actually been through while going through a breakup.
