The program reinforced some of the questions that I had about moving forward. It gave insight into different techniques and approaches to use when dealing with anger and conflict with my co-parent. It help me realize that I was not wrong in some of the ways that I was feeling, but that I could have handled conflict better by not engaging and using outside professional resources. I enjoyed learning new approaches to address my fears and anxiety when it comes to co-parenting. Most of all, I enjoyed learning that assistance will be provided for us in the beginning and I am hopeful that we can continue to use those tools and get on a good co-parenting path.

It helps you understand how you feel and how the other person feels too; helps you to understand the different options of the legal agreements, showing you real life experiences and why is better get an agreement between the parents. It identifies the child as the main reason of interest. It gives you guidance for abusive parents.

I liked some of the insightful information and the way it flowed. I loved some of the Ted talks towards the end of the training. The sources are good and the parenting plan planner is good too. I think it was a nice training, I learned a good amount of usable info relevant to my situation and I am glad I took this.

The ladder of conflict and gut feelings framework gave me language for something I had been navigating by instinct. The parallel parenting relay race metaphor was the single most useful reframe in the course. The ACE material applied to children and the sensitive periods framework gave my parenting plan a developmental grounding it did not previously have. The journal format throughout meant I was not just absorbing information but applying it to my specific situation in real time. That made the difference between completing a course and actually learning something.

The program did a good job emphasizing how children experience separation and how important it is to manage our own emotions so we can be present for them.
