I like that it made me see the full picture of the break-up and how it relates to parenting. There were introspective questions that made me slow down to reflect on the relationship. Even though we have been separated for 3 years, it was good for us to both take the same course and intentionally think of the parenting plan that we have developed.

I got a different perspective and liked the way things were broken down to take us out of our personal situations to explain things, then put back into perspective when connecting back to our personal situations, I loved the info on how to help kids feel comfortable and understand things better, and kept so many resources to go back and look at for more info to continue to apply that to my children's life as they grow-up.

The course didn't pretend that this is easy. It acknowledged the 30% increase in living costs and the emotional 'lag' between the person who leaves and the person who stays, which feels realistic.
